Jarrett is currently a software developer/technical designer in the Theme Park and Themed Entertainment Industry.

​

He graduated from George Mason University with a B.F.A in Computer Game Design in 2019. During his time in undergrad, he worked as a Teaching Assistant for the VR & AR Design class where he developed lectures and sample projects about AR development. He also worked with the Mason Game and Technology Academy (MGTA) as both a Lead Instructor and Teaching Assistant, teaching C# Programming and Game Design in Unity courses for K-12 students.

Following graduation, he would continue to work with MGTA as he loves to share and pass down his knowledge of game design to inspire and get people excited about working in the field. He would also work with MGTA’s parent company, the Virginia Serious Game Institute (VSGI), as a Game Developer and a Representative. At VSGI, he worked with his brother on a Co-Op Roblox Game as part of a partnership between VSGI, Roblox, and Tencent for the Roblox-Tencent Conference held in Beijing, China in late 2019. He would also work on experimental games and experiences to help get potential clients interested in partnering with VSGI through show events and demonstrations.

In Late 2020, Jarrett would leave MGTA and VSGI to further his education in the Game Design field. He was accepted into the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) as part of Cohort 18. Here, he learned to developed his skills as a technical designer and software developer while also learning new skills in programming, level designing, teamwork, and leadership.

It was here that he gotten an internship with Universal Creative as part of the Advanced Technology Interactive team. This opportunity allowed him to get his feet wet into the Theme Park and Themed Entertainment Industry working on some exciting NDA projects. His career would continue further working within the Industry as a Lead Software Developer & Unity Developer at Holovis with more exciting NDA projects to work on.


When he is not developing games or themed experiences, you can see him studying history in the fields of Vexillology, Heraldry, and Fossil Hunting. He sees studying history as a great way to tap into the mindset of how people thought back then as well as a place to inspire creativity. He is also a huge fan of giant monster movies including Godzilla and King Kong, as well as the Universal Classic Monsters films and Star Wars.
